The Juvenile Justice and Welfare Council (JJWC) successfully secured its Re-Certification for International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 – Quality Management Systems (QMS) last August 2023.
“JJWC recognizes the significance of an established QMS in our overall administrative and operational functions and processes as a national government agency. Through the QMS adoption and the engagement of the JJWC officers and employees, we were able to consistently meet our performance indicators based on the General Appropriations Act, review and enhance our processes to adapt to the changing needs and requirements of our customers, and integrate QMS in our results framework,” said JJWC Executive Director and Top Management Atty. Tricia Clare A. Oco.
Based on its findings, the agency’s commitment to continual improvement is very evident and the established management system is commendable, customer satisfaction response rate and rating have significantly progressed, procurement request evaluation is considered best practice, and document filing is effective.
Among the sites that underwent the recertification audit and were recommended for continued certification were all the National Secretariat divisions and Regions I, VI, IX, CAR, and CARAGA for the Regional Secretariat.
“In furtherance to JJWC’s quality journey, we continue to strengthen our management system to create more sense and value for our customers and stakeholders. We are now adopting the business excellence framework in our processes, integrating learning from our QMS journey and we look forward to our application to the Philippine Quality Award next year,” said Atty. Oco.
